One day, I was silver and sworn to the salmon skate
lapping the field, we were animaled together —
dusked — and confusion settled so the boweled truth exited 
from story wended on threshing floors and wet docks. 

and I forgot about the bladed grass and moss skipping low 
upon the crags, where boats met land on sciences and faith,
where captains failed against the sneaker wave, sans warning, 
dragged, disappeared to sleep.
